A Killing in Beita – Nablus

November 4, 2025

Methodological Approach

  • Collecting user-generated videos and photographs from multiple vantage points during the incident
  • Building a 3D model of the terrain and structures in Beita using photogrammetry and satellite data
  • Geolocating each video frame by matching distinctive features in the 3D environment
  • Calculating shooting trajectories and positions based on victim location and bullet impacts
  • Creating a time-synchronized visualization showing the progression of events
  • Verifying findings with witness testimonies and medical documentation

Findings

The 3D reconstruction allows us to determine precise shooting angles and distances, revealing the positions from which shots were fired. This spatial analysis, combined with frame-by-frame video examination, provides irrefutable evidence of the incident's sequence.

Our findings demonstrate how advanced geospatial techniques can transform fragmented video evidence into a comprehensive, three-dimensional timeline. This approach ensures that every conclusion is backed by verifiable spatial data and can be reproduced by other investigators.
